Welcome to the Wood Sculpture Course
The course is held in the creative laboratories of MISAM – International Museum of Open-Air Sculpture, at the Montemaggiore Arte Cultural Association, adjacent to the charming village of Montefiore Conca (RN), in Emilia-Romagna.
A unique setting: a hill overlooking the sea, surrounded by greenery, unspoiled landscapes, and spectacular views—ideal for inspiring creativity and focus. Discover more about the location here.

Who the course is for
The course is open to everyone:
beginners, enthusiasts, and professionals of all ages who wish to deepen or refine their skills.
(The course requires a basic knowledge of modeling. Upon request, the MISAM staff can provide an introductory course in wood modeling and sculpture.)
Program and content
The course offers:

The teaching activities are directly supervised by sculptor Umberto Corsucci and his staff.
Duration and schedule
Courses are organized in one- or two-week modules, Monday to Saturday.
Schedule:
– Morning: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
– Afternoon: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (optional)
Alternative dates can be arranged in agreement with the Montemaggiore Arte Association.
Wood Sculpture Course Fees
1 week: €1,300
(€800 for camper participants)
2 weeks: €1,850
(€1,300 for camper participants)
A deposit of 30% of the total amount is required to reserve a place.

Personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, shoes), accident insurance, and civil liability insurance are included

Artworks and materials created during the course remain the property of the student (wood works must not exceed a maximum height of 40 cm)
