LOST-WAX BRONZE FOUNDRY COURSE

Welcome to the Art Foundry Course – Bronze
We at the Montemaggiore Arte Association invite you to participate in an artistic technique course for the Art of Bronze Casting using the lost-wax process and various casting techniques.
Where: In Emilia-Romagna, in the beautiful village of Montefiore Conca (RN) – San Felice. A relaxing spot on a hill overlooking the sea, surrounded by green and panoramic landscapes. The course takes place in the creative workshops at the MISAM headquarters. International Open-Air Sculpture Museum – Montemaggiore Arte Cultural Association.
When The lost-wax casting courses are scheduled to take place in the cooler months of the year (April to June and September to October) to better address the casting difficulties.
Who is it for? Our courses are designed by us and are open to everyone: beginners, enthusiasts, and professionals.The Bronze Foundry course requires a basic understanding of modeling. The MISAM staff is available to offer a basic modeling course upon request.
Program and what you receive: Techniques and concepts of the preparatory phases and their processes, applied to a plaster model or other material to be cast in bronze. The art of chiseling and patinas. Metalworking technologies and the necessary materials. Personalized coaching and assistance from sculptor Umberto Corsucci and his staff.
Duration: The course takes place over 12 days over 2 weeks (Monday to Saturday). Schedule : 9:15 am–12:00 pm – 3:00 pm–6:00 pm (optional afternoon). Interested parties may arrange different course dates in consultation with the Montemaggiore Arte Association. Teacher : Umberto Corsucci and staff.

Hospitality with food and lodging
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The kitchen offers traditional Romagna dishes, featuring many locally sourced ingredients—simple and authentic, with a homely, rural flavor. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menus are available.
Accommodation: Family-run facility. Accommodation is provided in our residences near the work site, offering single, double, or triple rooms. Room and board for accompanying adults and/or family members of the participants are subject to availability.
Guest arrival: from 2:00 PM on the Sunday before the course. Departure: by 12:00 PM on the following Sunday.
Hospitality with use of camper parking area
Thanks to the availability of a convenient area equipped for campers, caravans, and camping, adjacent to the Montemaggiore Arte Association headquarters and the workshop areas, the sculpture courses are also open to campers. Food and lodging are not included in this case, unless otherwise agreed with the Association . Parking, use of restrooms, electricity, and water are included.
How much does the Bronze Art Foundry Course cost?
2 WEEKS 1,850 EURO (For campers 1,250 euros )
To book the course, a deposit of 30% of the total amount is required.
The material produced and the objects created during the courses remain the property of the student.
